Here come the warblers!
This dude has hung out on the deck all day long and is not at all concerned by my presence. So wild. I have a card full of pics. #birds :)

😂 I know right!
Which warbler is it?
Pine Warbler. Pan put it in the alt text.
Thank you! Forgot to check that.
No worries. It’s a good reminder for everyone! 🙂
So, KIRTLAND'S WARBLER has a fantastic alternate name- JACKPINE WARBLER. But this could be confused with Pine Warbler.
So in the great tradition of using incorrect state names for NA warblers, I propose OHIO WARBLER for this Michigan breeding endemic.

I *think* the top left bird is a pine warbler, does that sound right?
A few of the warblers I saw this morning at Montrose Point:
magnolia warbler
bay-breasted warbler
chestnut-sided warbler
blackpoll warbler
#birds First Warbler of the season. First migrant actually. The Pine Warbler. Bring it. I am so ready!
Jack Pine Warbler! Could be confused with Pine Warbler but also you can say that about every warbler with yellow in its name.
The Tennessee, yellow throated vireo, and pine warbler come to mind. I’m getting a little better with my sparrow IDs but the warblers I still find tricky.
Thank you for the reminder to always check for ALT text before I repost! I always put it on my posts but I forget to check before sharing.
I thought about you when I heard it. Luckily here it's usually in the forests (Swedish name is Spruce warbler)
Thank you Rebecca 😊
The moustached warbler (Acrocephalus melanopogon) is the only breeding reed warbler species in our region which doesn't migrates into tropical Africa. It can be noticed in some traits, as the short wings and the early breeding season. As many warblers, it's a good singer and imitator. 🪶🌿
Just a reminder everyone that using alt text on a text heavy post is easier than ever! There’s a button you can push in the right corner that will let you copy all the text so you can paste it in the alt text box. Here I’ve circled it for you in this image!
Very much looking forward to warbler migration this year. This handsome Black & White Warbler visited the yard in 2020 along with many other warblers. It was a nice reprieve to being stuck in the house. Check out his little gold feet!
A lot of you have never had to try remembering the difference between Townsend's Warbler, MacGillivray's Warbler, Virginia's Warbler, Grace's Warbler, and Lucy's Warbler, and it shows.
nice!! i do the same thing. and thank you for doing it that way. it's so much better to put the alt text right in the image instead of tagging the OCR bot, easier to find and access for screenreader users that way.
(for everyone else: i put my tips for extracting text easily in a thread here)
Easy Ways to Do Alt Text for Screenshots of Text!
Hey you, are you taking a screenshot of an article, research paper, blog post, or tweet/skeet? Are you going to post that right now?
Why not copy the text while you're on the page and paste it right into the alt text entry while you're posting it?
Kirkland's Warbler could be Jack Pine Warbler. Or Michigan Warbler.
No, and I forgot to put that in the alt text, dammit. Nabbed it from here: examiningtheodd.com/2016/03/22/t...
Start from Chapter One. Chapter Three. It may well be imagined how powerfully I was affected by the annals of the Harrises. In this continuous record there seemed to me to brood a persistent evil beyo...

Pine Warbler and Bride of Pine Warbler

I picked a great place to look for warblers this morning! Saw four FOYs (Black-throated Green Warbler, Orange-crowned Warbler, Nashville Warbler & Common Yellowthroat) and two already-seens (Palm and Yellow-rumped warblers)! 🪶 #birding
