Fast food is a big part of Japanese life due to the lack of time people have to cook.

People who can speak English fluently won't be able to image how poorly Japanese people speak English and how desperately they cling to their native language Japanese. For some reason, most Japanese fail to use English as a tool of communication.

I think you should be careful around Japanese people, though, because my understanding is that the phonetics of Japanese tend to lead native speakers to add a vowel sound to the end of foreign words that don't have one. So you might accidentally sound like you're taking the piss out of them
