Ukraine is north of me but they're waaaayyy ahead in flower coverage because of the wind/currents. Tulips are always the first here.
But the horizontal (x-axis) labels are in the 40s - that's our latitude. 44.6 degrees north, or so.

The number of cities larger than Reykjavik and further north can be counted on one hand. The farthest north is Norilsk, Russia. It's about 5 degrees latitude further north.

The biggest change in these from 6.5 degrees north to 0 degrees north is the sudden decrease in occurrence at ~1.7 degrees north.

We are a few miles south of the 40th parallel here - 39.81 degrees north.
I think most of Scotland is actually further north! I weighed including Vancouver on mine but the latitude is 4 or 5 degrees higher for Scotland
Interesting that the southern most point in Ukraine (Yalta, roughly) is about the same latitude as Halifax, NS.
And the only part of Canada further south than Ukraine is southern Ontario. In North America its easy to forget just how far north all of Europe is.
Really puts the NE United States’ discussions of their latitude in perspective. Paris is further north than Seattle which is further north than the top of Maine.
