I was relieved that a friend had given me the keys to her flat for a while as the lease had run out on my old place and I couldn't get into the new one for a few weeks, plus I was waiting for my HRT approval letter, which was being delivered to my old flat. Luckily I got it redirected.

A friend had a huge Seder. Like 20 people, I think I was the only new one. I think I was also the first person at one of her dinners to go do dishes after. Eventually most of the people felt shame, I guess, and helped. My dad raised me to do that as much as my mom did.

My boys with the instruments each one of them plays while Cody actually plays all three but playing the keyboard/piano was the first one he was taught as a kid ^~^

Thanks for sharing. When my aunt died in 2020 there was a piano, I think it had been our dad’s for a while. I was co-executor, thankfully my practical cousin a GP, handled most of the duties as Covid hit one month after her death, but I undertook to sort the piano. It must be with something surely?

As someone who took 10ish years of piano lessons, this piano rhythm game in #FFVIIRebirth is killing me. I hated the metronome way back when and I have discovered that I still hate it today. That one piece in that one area nearly made me chuck my remote.

On the one hand, it was creepy AF. On the other, amongst the junk was a nice piano and a copy of Heroquest that I should have taken.

When I was 7, I had a hand-me-down bike that I was content with except for the seat. It had one of those banana seats, and I wanted a BMX-style seat. I asked for that for my birthday, which was on a Sunday. When I got dopped off from Sunday school, my dad greeted me at the door and handed me a gift.

I also came from a bio background, but I had a bit of ecology (& stats) as well as anatomy. Your “primitive” molecular stuff was still SciFi in the ‘80s! Of course, Arnold Kluge taught one of my anatomy classes: that probably put me “off” of cladistics early.

Going out for a walk to force myself to get up as this morning my brain decided to remind me of one of the reasons I absolutely feel like shit. It was another time during my time off that I nearly was in tears.... I hate myself for what I'm feeling and struggling with.
