People who say "bias" when they should be using "biased" sound really fucking dumb to me!
People who say "bias" when they should be using "biased" sound really fucking dumb to me!
Same goes for people who say "verse" instead of "versus." Knock it off!
The prevalence of people who say verse instead of versus is intensely aggravating.
This has been my old man yelling on porch moment for the weekend.
...when people want to sound smart by using "whom" instead of "who," but use it incorrectly.
Yeah and they get really hostile when I say “the people who work on the ground say this”. Even people who should know better
I get we're supposed to be concerned about the people who say "no," but the bias researcher in me is concerned about the people who say "yes" & actually believe it.
There's a lot of people who say they're anti-war who aren't but then again there's a lot of people who say Ukraine is a good war but think someone else should be fighting it instead of them, so it's really a wash. Turns out most people don't actually think about what they say they believe.
People who say that they “admire” my choice to not eat animals sound so stupid to me. You sound like a fucking idiot.
This is why it pisses me off when people who are usually wrong say something that's correct. It totally undermines any reasonable people who are trying to make the same point.
Bad people shouldn't be allowed to be right.
I know this is going to make me sound insufferable but fuck it:
People who say “less” instead of “fewer” for countable nouns drive me crazy.
People who pronounce "template" as "templit" sound to me like how I must sound to some people when I say "carmel."
It really is.
These are the same folks who when they actually SAY "Blacks" or even "Black people," they whisper it.
it makes it sound to me like you support abortions but you think they should be administered at random instead of to people who need them
reason doesn't count towards the "should be mocked for being dumb and wrong" quotient of all the people who seriously say it.
We should, as a society, be laughing more at people who say dumb shit
I hate when people say "Just be yourself." when they really mean "Just be who I want you to be."
I feel like everyone younger than me uses the word "less" in every situation, even when they should be using "fewer."
This irks me the same way it bugs me when people say "which" when they should be using "whom"
gaydar but exclusively for people who should be using it/its pronouns (it pings off of everyone)
I mean dumb people and liberal fascist who really want to see brown people die they just don't want to say it out loud
people who say “consolidated” instead of “consoled”
For me it's using the word "verse" instead of "versus." It grates my ears.
I’m chock full of pet peeves, but my newest one is people who say ‘that’s when they should say ‘who’ so they’ll say “people that work in offices”
Super grrrrrrrr
