Apparently, there are far more commitments to the German air defence initiative (IAAD) than we previously knew. According to Germany's Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock, countries have made financial pledges totalling ~ €1 billion.

This is in addition to Germany's pledge to provide Ukraine with a further Patriot battery and Lithuania's commitment to supply six AMBER-1800 air surveillance radars.
So far, we knew about pledges totalling ~ €536 million, which were made by Belgium (€200 million), the Netherlands (€150 million), Denmark (€134 million), and Canada (~ €52 million).
However, at least Canada's funds are already firmly earmarked for the procurement of IRIS-T (SL) missiles which will be delivered to Ukraine in the following weeks.
She did not disclose which countries had joined the initiative or what would be done with the funds. However, it can be assumed that at least one Patriot battery would be purchased and delivered to Ukraine if other countries were willing to do give up one of their existing batteries.
The Immediate Action on Air Defence initiative was launched ~ 5 weeks ago by the Federal Foreign Office and the MoD. The aim is to strengthen Ukrainian air defence in the short term — primarily with additional Patriot batteries, but also with other air defence systems, equipment & missiles.
According to the German Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius, Lithuania is contributing to the German IAAD initiative which aims to strengthen the Ukrainian air defence with six AMBER-1800 air surveillance radars. He did not provide any further details such as a planned delivery date.
NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg says NATO members are ready to provide #Ukraine with more air defence. It appears that the German initiative via IAAD is paying off. Lithuania plans to join either the German-led IAAD or CC IAMD, possibly with air surveillance radars.

Germany has launched a new initiative under Defence Minister Boris Pistorius and Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock → “Immediate Action on Air Defence”.
Talks are currently being held with NATO partners and third countries about the short-term transfer of air defence systems to Ukraine.
