Robin Morgan's standup show from last year is on Youtube and it is very funny and good to watch

I filmed this show at the Glee Club in Cardiff, Wales. It's a comedy club where I spent six years working behind the bar - huge thank you to them for letting...

An ADHD story.
My mum moved to north Wales 3 years ago.
Decided to help out with the local church.
Today she's getting ordained age 63.
As far as I can tell, the NME was entirely beefs throughout the whole of the 1990s.
I saw someone say beef doesn’t happen in other genres and … just say you’ve never heard of alexander pope
Giro was mad. Very Giro.
Pogacar is box office and Thomas giving the impression he's not afraid to have a go too.
Avoided the results all day and just watched the last 90km of today's Giro.
Well well well.
Wellity wellity wellity.
And I genuinely forgot about voter ID. Bolox to this. No idea where my driving licence is.
We've only got police and crime commissioner elections and I'm genuinely struggling with the motivation to take 20 minutes out to get to the voting booth and back.
I have asked my wife to do this song many many times at an open mic hahahha
What if I react with something silly e.g. a poo or a fart
My son's current favourite song is "Road Rage" by Catatonia and every time we listen I am reminded of how I had a huge crush on Cerys Matthews.
Got it on the workbench. Looks in relatively good nick. Might not actually be a lot of work. First steps are going to be getting a plug on it, and getting water in.
Any negative material about the Tories is worth very little right now, but will be worth zero in a few months, so expect more of this as people metaphorically shoot their shots.
Reading The Guardian piece about the proposed True Blue app which the Tories hoped would enable them to monetise their membership. Many entertaining details. Do take a look. My personal favourite? The sample advertising describing this thing as a 'digital railway'.
i told my wife how much it probably weighs and she began to curse me intensely. I'll get to have a proper look on Sunday.
This is exactly how everyone moves a big fridge into their kitchen so how people assumed it couldn't be done but just a bit bigger is baffling.
Re, walking - demonstration here:

The islanders always said the Moai walked from the quarries, which was widely dismissed by westerners as superstition or deception - westerners only being able to envision western-style tech approaches, as if the Romans did it.
Researchers have used a replica moai to show how the giant statues may have been
www.youtube.comMy son's current favourite song is now "Road Rage" by Catatonia, and as someone who had a huge crush on Cerys Matthews and her gorgeous gravelly voice growing up, that is absolutely fantastic.
Bought another coffee machine, didn't I? 1970s Gaggia Orione. No idea if it works or if it's gas or electric powered.
Could be a project that takes a couple of years. Or, how long will this one sit on the workbench before I take it to the tip?
I have decided to follow you on blue sky I hope you are having a nice day take care xox

me: hey, I love your sleep podcast! It never fails to get me sleeping in, like, under ten minutes!
them: it’s not a sleep podcast, it’s a comedy podcast.
me: [yawning] oh man, I’m nodding off just talking to you!
After a year of basically not riding, and then four weeks of just doing what fits without worrying about a plan (therapy sometimes works), this is the result.
Might yet turn a pedal in anger in 2024!
Everyone has to come to my house and drink Lapsang Souchong because I bought 500g of Lapsang Souchong tea leaves while buying 500g coffee beans thinking they were the same thing
nobody can write 50 of anything in a week that takes any time to read, if they want it to be good.
It sounds like it'll be half AI, aka half nonsense.
i regret to inform the world i have bought another lever espresso machine at auction.
gosh darn it i will never use it but i will think about using it a lot
I started following Nantes because I used to go on holiday there and they played United once in the Champions league, but now I follow them because following a banter club balances out me supporting Man City.
*drowns while ineffectually hammering "skip and" on the YouTube tutorial while my phone loudly complains of water in the charge port*
Exiting a Tesla Model X that has gone into water that is too deep and so immediately lost power (and in at least one documented case also caught fire) requires the car's occupant, without guidance from any visible indicators, to partially disassemble the door and pull an unlabeled wire.
"Do you have time to make me a coffee before work?
"Sure"
*Immediately starts dictation*
*Immediately starts to loudly steam milk*
Sounds like the UK Government have mucked up offshore wind again, only putting in half what would get the 10GW eligible built.
This is a government that said it could get 50GW by 2030, which now looks set to be missed.
Overheard an MP complaining that they were told not to take any leave between mid May and mid July when many of them had in fact already made bookings like normal people do.
My preferred election prediction is from @whotargetsme.bsky.social (not May, later in the year)because it uses data on what the Tories are actually doing.

The window for an early election is closing. Do the parties' ads tell us whether it's likely to happen?

At some point these chickens will come home to roost, and fossil fuels will become stranded assets. The changing mood of the population, particularly the youngest generation, will see to it.
I just hope it happens quick enough.
No government or populace is going to put their hand in the fire for Exxon at this stage.
I work for one of Europe's biggest energy companies, and we've brought the end of our most polluting system forward to six year's time.
Governments listen and work with us cos we're walking the walk.
Please sit down before you read this post.
So.
The CEO of Exxon-Mobil just said this in an interview: "We’ve waited too long to open the aperture on the solution sets in terms of what we need, as a society, to start reducing emissions."

"The dirty secret nobody talks about is how much all this is going to cost and who's willing to pay for it," Darren Woods said on Fortune’s Leadership Next podcast.

Did the form for a cycle to work request two days ago. Yes I am buying a new power meter as if it will solve all my problems where I don't ride my bike at all.
This is the longest wait anyone has ever done.
That, and in the UK we've had media and politicians shouting in people's faces for the last 15 years that of they can't afford to have kids they shouldn't have them.
My wife is a doctor and I'm the Comms manager of a £2bn infra project and we are barely head above water in suburban north Wales with three kids, I'm surprised anyone manages ever.
I reported on economics for one (1) year. Everything I learned about it—from data on corporate pay penalties for mothers, co-pays for births, and lack of federal policies on issues like childcare or paid leave—loudly indicated there was little to no incentive for me to have children in the US.
I like to ask people if they are on glue. Gives the rage a nice 1980s feel
This is literally how low the bar is for hope in Russia.
NAVALNY WAS CALLING FOR A RUSSIAN ETHNOSTATE CLEANSED OF ALL NON-WHITES
