Writer of obsessively character-based fantasy. Odds are good there will be found family, past trauma, and angst involved.

Good morning. I interrupt my regularly scheduled vacation to bring you vibes from a dude who's here to tell you that this fantastic StoryBundle of supernatural books is the missing piece that will really tie your room together. storybundle.com/detectives
Okay guys, this is my only other one for the day, sadly, I hope to be more active tomorrow but I am by the ocean, so... Boromir would like to remind you that there are certain things you simply don't do. Such as pass on this fine collection of books. storybundle.com/scifi
Okay guys I am dedicated to this meme war but I am driving out of town so updates will be sporadic, but I promise the memes will keep coming no matter how the universe attempts to prevent them.
It is Wednesday, Day 3 of the Great Meme War, and I am honored, in a dark and somehow unimpressed way, to have the goddess of the supernatural herself promoting this StoryBundle: storybundle.com/detectives
I do own a truck and I’ll drive it to Canada if you need to bury anything.
This is a disturbingly accurate description of the writers in this bundle.
Skyla is having the time of her life making these memes.
But also, you should come check out our Storybundle! It's a group of authors who 100% will fight over who gets to drive the jeep vs bring the shovel vs bring the tarp for when you need an alibi. Name a better group of people to support?
Clearly they did not study the people who hated their childhoods lol
Great Washington Post nostalgia study. Adults think U.S. society was historically nicest and comfiest—most moral and close-knit, families happiest—whenever they happened to be little kids, and culture (music, movies, TV, fashion, sports, food) best whenever they were adolescents. wapo.st/3WXd9xS
Ran across this short in a forgotten notebook tonight. It felt particularly on-theme given that terrible ebook vs paperbacks article that just came out, so I dusted it off and popped it on the website.

You can make a difference—no really, you can! Turn off the water while brushing your teeth, two gallons of water saved in a day! Get that shower down from ten minutes to five, ten gallons saved in a d...
michellemanus.comI was going to save this one for tomorrow but I am finishing out Day 2 with Elizabeth, as it is my firm belief that Darcy's path to self-reformation was guided by some soul-searching fiction reading back in the day. Fiction such as this lovely Stalking the Dead bundle: storybundle.com/detectives
Ooh, that is a great idea, I will! I will have to find it a properly sinister-looking frame that Clare would approve of.
Also, I just love this book so much. 99.99% of my cold dead heart is in this book--some of my favorite scenes I've ever written, some of my favorite lines, including the one the reviewer quoted at the end of the review, which brought me no end of joy that it stuck out to someone else too :)
I have to take a short break from shameless StoryBundle self-promotion via the meme format to geek out that A Song to Wake a Thousand Sorrows, which I still can't believe got a starred Kirkus review, also made it into the June edition of Kirkus Magazine. I have never been in a magazine before!
How to make a writer blush in 300 characters or less. Read the book my editor stalked for YEARS 😆. Along with 10 others. storybundle.com/detectives
I was excited in that way where, if I'd seen it in acquisitions, I would have been screaming YES, THIS BOOK, I WANT IT. The voice, the storytelling skill, the characters, the themes, the intricacies of the plot and world-building. I was so excited I told her to please tell me when it was published.
❤️
Okay I told the story of how much I love this book on the Bird App, but did I ever do it here? Who cares, I'm doing it again.
I first read this in 2016 when Michelle hired me to edit.
Reader, I loved this book.
Neo once had a choice to make between the machines and humanity. I stand before you now, telling you that you have that same choice. Don't choose the algorithm. Don't let the machines win. CHOOSE HUMANITY.

The record shows Anakin rarely makes good choices. Don’t be like Anakin. Nab your set of 11 supernatural detective books now. storybundle.com/detectives
Spilling your coffee is a traffic mishap. This is another calculated step in genocide. apnews.com/article/isra...
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says a “tragic mishap” was made in an Israeli strike in the southern Gaza city of Rafah that set fire to a tent camp housing displaced Palestinians.
apnews.comGoood morning everyone, & welcome to Day 2 of @skyladawn.ca and Michelle’s Meme Promotion Challenge. I’d like to open the day with wise words from a scholar who’s been in the industry a while, & has honored us by reflecting on the proper naming of a group of detectives. storybundle.com/detectives
Here in our last round of Day 1 of the Meme Challenge, I bring to you a very Supernatural guest. Meet Dean. Dean is panicking. Dean realizes he needs 11 supernatural themed books but only has $20.
Storybundle is here to help Dean: storybundle.com/detectives
Go on. You know what you want. It's supernatural. It's mysterious. It's reasonably priced. storybundle.com/detectives
Am I attempting to enter into a goodnatured, low-key popular meme competition with @skyladawn.ca to promote the super awesome supernatural-themed StoryBundle we both have books in? You decide.

Also, men’s golf shorts are incredibly comfortable.
Also, men’s golf shirts are incredibly comfortable.
However I did just find women’s swim shorts so the day is not a complete loss.
They need a dual gender neutral line—neutral with tits and neutral without.
😭 I am regretting all life decisions that make me appear in public right now. The one shirt that wasn’t a crop top did fit terribly so I couldn’t even get it. This is why I live in men’s clothes 90% of the time but the only men’s shirt small enough for me is regular t shirts.
I just need like three shirts that are not men’s pocket tees permanently stained with barn sweat and my horse’s sunscreen. Truly, am I asking too much?
All my shirts are so old they’re falling apart but I have now been to 3 stores & found a grand total of one women’s shirt that was not a crop top. No shade to crop tops I just don’t personally want to wear them. I hate shopping. Send help.
Today I'm here to tell you that you should just buy that meal-in-a-box thing you liked as a kid & you should give zero fucks about what ingredients are in it (unless oc you have allergies) bc it doesn't matter, if it is easy for you to make & will make you happy just get it bc we all need to eat.
I came home, looked Hex in the eye and told her she wasn’t allowed to give me any heart attacks for six months bc Chey used up the allotment tonight. I was told he quit struggling once a human arrived to solve his predicament so at least he didn’t lose all sense.
I have seen pictures of the damage and it is miraculously shallow. Here he is being remorseful, waiting for his betadine scrub.
…into the neighbor’s yard to get himself free. Miraculously he had only a single shallow scratch. Erin got to go meet her neighbors to retrieve my horse from their yard. 🤦♀️ I have seen many horses get stuck under fences but mine has never done it before, I sincerely hope he learned his lesson. 2/2
Cheyenne’s auntie Erin called to tell me that my child, who is normally the smartest most level headed equine, got himself stuck under the fence to the neighbor’s property, to the extent that Erin’s husband had to lift up part of the fence (it’s a bad fence) so Chey could roll… 1/
Waverly and the Orcas would be an unbeatable human-orca team-up.
I didn't have enough characters in the post to apologize for my bad whale joke.
What's the latest news from the orca rebellion? Even ocean freedom fighters need to take an evening off to read and recharge? And they want you to know that eleven supernatural detective books can be yours for a minimum of $20? Now that's what I call a whale of a deal.
storybundle.com/detectives
The orcas: Haha yeah, just playing over here, no world agenda. Seriously, you don’t need to be concerned at all we’re not, like, plotting to right the wrongs of ocean travel. Not at all. Just playing. Bored teens. 😉😉
What might seem like killer whales orchestrating vengeful and coordinated attacks on ships is probably a playful fad among bored teen orcas, scientists say.

www.washingtonpost.com…is intentionally wasting resources for laughs. I can’t get rid of them there or on product review pages so while I absolutely try to avoid generating them, when a company forces them on me I absolutely will ridicule their uselessness when I can’t avoid them.
I agree that using AI ironically is still bad & destroys the environment but I will gently remind people that none of the things I’ve tried to turn it off on Google have worked, so while I try to Google as little as possible now, I don’t think everyone who dunks on an AI screenshot…1/ 2
If you liked Guardian of Chaos (or, you know, you're still trying to badger your friends into reading it), for a limited time you (or your long-suffering friends) can affordably nab a ton of similarly themed books alongside it.

Jevryn just tried to make a joke. He thinks he succeeded. I might be as horrified as Nyx is right now.
In which they argue over the word "perspicacious", which Telemain is shocked Ash knows the meaning of, and in which she determines he uses his extensive vocabulary with the intent of irritating others.
You should all know that the grumpy wizard and the cranky sellsword are arguing in my mind again, so maybe you will get to read this book sometime in the next ten years when I finally find time to write it 😆😭
Oh boy, waiting for someone to sue with “But AI told me to eat rocks!”
You absolutely should check out the Eric Carter series if violent, sweary necromancers are your thing. I’ll tell you a secret tho there is also a lot of peering under the hood of humanity, and idk if I’d classify those parts as hopeful, per se, but they are real & unflinching & painfully beautiful.
Maybe check out my Eric Carter series about a violent, sweary necromancer with anger management issues www.penguinrandomhouse.com/series/EC2/e...
