It's nearly the end of May and I've just bought a sweater that I plan on wearing imminently. This seems odd
Proximity to mountains stands. I'm worried one day I'll accidentally discover the central Arkansas Subaru zone
I can usually tell if I'm near either a mountain or Vermont by the number of Subaru in a parking lot.
I am no carpenter but I freestyled a catio on the side of my house a few years ago. It had a mesh roof but ice from the solar panels over the winter slid down and destroyed it. Yesterday I put a solid roof on it. Reminded me how uneven it is. Anyways today's rain is a good test.
Not really a hockey fan but it's always nice when a Minnesota team beats a Toronto team.
Britain's newest billionaire once said to me "hey I like your shirt"
I went to a Tom Petty show and this ramshackle group of drunken bufoons opened for him. I think they were from Minneapolis
What's the weirdest combination of main act and opening band you've ever seen?
@furioursus.dev and I are at an Echo & the Bunnymen show, and the opening act is... an easy listening jazz quintet
We get a bit more sunshine hours up here this time of year so I take these wins where I can.
I put solar panels up late last year. It's gonna take more than a couple of - 77 dollar bills to pay for it but it's fun to forget how much I paid for them haha.
My electricity bill was minus 77 dollars this month. More sun would be nice in June.
It sounds great too. The keyboard is a little odd if you're used to full sized keys.
Sub 1k the Korg Minilogue XD is great poly synth with a lot of presets. In the 1500 range the Moog grandmother is a brilliant mono synth. The hyndrasynth desktop plus a midi keyboard is a great option in that range too.
I haven't had to do it in near 30 years now but I used to be remarkably good at cutting and splicing tape. It was strangely satisfying
Right but when you fly it upside down you're also flipping it. So imagine it's flat and you take the bottom and move it up to the top it's going upside down and flipping to the other side. You end up with the top left red stripe on the upper portion of the white stripe
Amused by how often I spot the union jack inadvertently upside down.
I feel like if they made candy bars they wouldn't taste very good
Judging by this mornings antics on transit, a large supply of meth has just hit the streets in the last 24 hours.
Started watching Baby Reindeer and hoooo boy this might be a bit much. The similarities between this and the stalker I had in Calgary
As a guy with guitars hanging on the wall I do not wanna talk about my guitars. They're my guitars mind your own business
If you're on a zoom call with a guy and he has guitars hanging on the wall behind him, DO NOT ask him about them, that's exactly what he wants you to do.
I'm online mostly for the Foshay content
In 1928, the newly finished Foshay Tower, Minneapolis’s tallest building, was strung up with lights and lit like a Christmas tree.
As I understand most of it. It's been 8 years. I've never actually been there.
Ope they're starting to evacuate parts of Fort McMurray. This traditionally doesn't end up well for that city.
Racket just out here posting boobs. I assume. I mean I didn't click because I like the idea that they're posting nudes instead of just some fucked up content filtering
Weirdly enough I was just having a discussion with a coworker on the very same topic minutes ago
This was in 1989, 1990 and 1999. I'm now a quarter century removed from the falls follies
3rd time I stayed in Niagara on the Lake at a winery for 3 days. Did the canyon tour just short of the falls. Ran into the same traffic and parking issues so decided then it just wasnt meant to be
Next time I was working as a courier (pretty sure I was actually shipping cocaine but that's another story). I had a run from Markham to Niagara Falls. Thought I'd have time to sneak a cheeky peek at the falls while I was there but my boss wanted me back asap. He was scary so I complied
I crossed into Canada from Niagara Falls,NY when I moved here tried to go see the falls and the traffic sucked and couldn't find a place to park so gave up and had dinner on the edge of town before continuing on to Toronto
I've been to Niagara Falls 3 times and still haven't actually seen the falls.
i didn’t try the waffles when i went to waffle house and i’ve deeply regret it ever since
