I work in the private jet side of the industry so I don’t have flight benefits 🥺
Mistress is having some "Personal Time" in the bedroom while I do some housekeeping work on the pc. When she is done, she appears, taps the side of my face "Open" and the shoves her dildo in hard enough to gag me and presses other toys into my hands. "Clean these and wake me in a hour." She leaves.
Bluesky has a *lot* it still needs to work out, one of which is the ability to post our own gifs rather than rely on tenor.
Baby steps, but at least each new change is a positive, unlike everything Elon is enacting.
RIGHT!! Do you know how many people with PhDs work in the nonprofit sector??
Yeah I don't think I could change it now. I do put 'contract illustrator' experience on my resume for past work, on graphic related resumes and they always ask me about it and it's like... Well if you search my art name, you're going to see a lot of alien tiddies and I don't want to explain that.
While corporate controlled Democrats continue to work across the aisle to lose more and more of my rights.
I don't want to go to work. Me want climb tree. Eat banana. Oo oo aa aa. 🐵

Fans of Arrested Development will know this gag but I'll describe it for context, one of the spoiled children of a wealthy family gets mad at the family's maid so he throws a brick [or something] at the city transit bus the maid rides to work at their house, because he thinks that's her car.
Often, folks trying to Do The Work don’t have an option but to just carry on until we literally *can’t* anymore because we’re acutely aware of what happens/who suffers if we stop, even for our own good.
And not enough others are willing to step up, split the load, + keep going.
I have work to do.
That is my answer to how difficult and traumatizing reporting on trans issues has been and will continue to be. I'm not worried about that right now because I have work to do.
Will I burn out? Everyone seems to, I assume I'm no different.
But until then, I have work to do.
it's gonna run into the same problem every late-stage valve project runs into, where the devs have a big surge of energy going into releasing it, it doesn't immediately set the world alight, then they get bored and stop supporting it to work on the next shiny new thing that wont be out for 5 years
And now it’s like, we’ll, maybe this shiny things should get some work on it.
So brains suck. Like I need another major project at the beginning of Summer.
There's no need to ban old work. There is need, though to encourage students from all backgrounds to behave properly to one another, and to NOT put rich white guys above all others.
Seems like gifs don't work on here, yet.

Been chewing on a thought that the relationship between graphics programs and game engines is similar to vector graphics software and desktop publishers. They work on the same kinds of data, but differ in scope and intent — one for creation and detail work, the other structure and composition.
Tourist season on the Metro has me glad that I work remotely.
I'm excited to share a new publication from my graduate work!
In this opinion piece, we describe a new idea about how the brain represents more than one object - by having neurons switch their activity over time. Many implications and open questions!

#Neuroskyence
Our ability to perceive multiple objects is mysterious. Sensory neurons are broadly
tuned, producing potential overlap in the populations of neurons activated by each
object in a scene. This overlap r...

Cold brew at the in-laws pool after a morning of yard work, reading and listening to pool jams while the boys play, not many things hit better, happy Sunday
Okay great but I need to really understand the potential biases from approximate approaches, the theory that connects these methods, and areas for future research.

I wrote a particularly intimate keynote for @NDC_Conferences Sydney 2024 in January - it's about survival in a sometimes dispassionate industry, finding joy in the work, and trying to get and be better.
Online here now:

This talk was recorded at NDC Sydney in Sydney, Australia. #ndcsydney #ndcconferences #developer #softwaredeveloper Attend the next NDC conference near you: https://ndcconferences.com https://ndcsydney.com/ Subscribe to our YouTube channel and learn every day: / @NDC Follow our Social Media! https://www.facebook.com/ndcconferences https://twitter.com/NDC_Conferences https://www.instagram.com/ndc_conferences/ #computer #technology In this keynote session we'll talk about finding your own identity set against the backdrop of a career in technology. Ways to cope with the eternal tug of war between the work we do for money and the work we do for ourselves. We'll talk about keeping your identity intact in an unstable job market, and crafting a path focused on doing things you love with computers. There will be practical career advice, points of reflection, and an optimistic conclusion that helps folks grow through their careers.
youtu.beI'm a non-morning-person who has to get up at 6:15 every weekday for work. someone I care about would have to be literally dying for me to be out of the house by 8 AM on a weekend
I need to estimate a delay distribution (i.e incubation period, reporting delay etc.) for an infectious disease what should I do?

#Union Drive at Labcorp Is the Latest in a String of Health Care Organizing Wins truthout.org/articles/uni... Labcorp is terrible--hope unionization helps change/improve that for-profit co. I always get my blood work done elsewhere--what a contrast!
Organizers say corporate efforts to quash a union actually galvanized workers to overwhelmingly vote for one.

🔮you try to leave things better than you found them hey?
Really?
You are using a monstrous tool that harms every author, every creative out there. You are contributing to the death of an industry all to avoid doing your own work.
How is that better than you found it?
That's interesting...the adoption network I used to work with: they had some very good people in charge of the adoption approval process. They knew that sometimes people were bullshitting them, but they did their best to detect the bad apples and plow ahead. It was something I couldn't do.

How brilliant!
I never got to do it either, I always had to work each summer & was always gutted to miss Inter-railing.
Have an excellent time!
ugh these dudes are ~everywhere~ doing the MOST UNAPPRECIATED WORK ON EARTH and how dare you question his piety 🔪🔪🔪
With plaplate added to the other side, one more round of rough shaping is needed. I recommend trying to match the shapes of the first side, as that will make the sanding a bit easier, but it’s not something to stress over
This is a good step to do slowly if you’re feeling anxious about your work
Tangentially, I get more and more annoyed every time I see someone say that everyone should be required to work in food service, as if waiting tables magically grants you empathy or whatever.
I’m really getting the sense that people think there’s a magic curriculum that unlocks “critical thinking”
I used to work at General Mills R&D in MN. Those of us who didn't directly work in the labs were regularly pulled into Taste Panel. Usually we had to determine which of three samples of Hamburger Helper was the odd one. Don't know how The Helping Hand lost one of his fingers.
She just started(Allegedly)?! She's still a teenager! I'd hoped she didn't lose the sense that quickly. I dunno all I know is it's bad. Folks come into work like that too, just their own cloud following them around the store lol

Just out of curiosity: is the air gap just air, or some kind of e.g. plastic foam?
A work of art in the making.

scheduling is sooo tough but i think i can make it work lmao
i’ve tried it all! my current system seems to work the best. keep a small amount in stock for the popular ones and then lower amounts (or none) for the others during low season. i’ve also started selling mystery packs at my tables that include discontinued prints!
And this is 10,000% my face when I'm mad at work.
