👥 Building a product isn't a solo journey; it's a collaborative effort that brings together multiple talents and perspectives. [2/4]
🔗 The synergy between Product, Tech, and Marketing teams is crucial. Each team plays an important role: Product defines the vision, Tech brings the vision to life with technical solutions, and Marketing ensures the product reaches the right audience effectively. [3/4]

Apple’s Vision Pro is a bad product with an even worse vision for the future of computation.
New sales numbers prove it’s a failure, but more than that it shows the idea of tech’s inevitability is a myth. We have the collective power to stop tech that doesn’t serve us.
The product’s failure should further dispel the myth of tech inevitability

In the world of e-commerce, the journey of a product from the warehouse to the customer’s doorstep is often overlooked. Yet, every step of this journey, including the packaging process, plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and product integrity.

Also… waymo isn’t a consumer product?
It’s far more important for consumers to know a consumer product is dangerous than to know an enterprise product is safe.
That should be obvious.
If you want good stories about enterprise tech, read enterprise tech news. It exists.
Just a tech bro selling vaporware in a product that can kill multiple people in one go.
The product (and the tech behind it) just isn't anywhere near a final vision that would actually be compelling I think. Feel like it would be a waste of investor money to keep going.
I had somewhat forgotten that the Apple Vision Pro is a product and that it's actually very close to coming out.
Mad Men is erm, very much a product of an auture. With all the limitations that brings.
Yes and no. It's important to divorce the technology from the marketplace. Artificial intelligence is inevitable, in the same way computers were. They do many things faster and better.
What isn't inevitable is anyone's current product using that tech. Thats all marketing bullshit.

So, my weird little version of this is that in the early 2000s, I worked on a high tech product that came in a rack form factor, and had front skins with a distinctive shape.
We had a few racks built with just the skins and some blinking LEDs for the product announcement and promotional videos. 1/2
Gaskins, Aguirre McPike & Bagley's new album is a strong collaborative effort that brings together elements of their solo work and charts new musical directions. The harmonies really sing
Thing is, we have something like that with the XReal, for literally an order of magnitude less than the Apple Vision in cost, and its still a niche product and always will be.
I don't think the average person, or even the average tech nerd, WANTS to be that connected.
The problem with selling a product is you have to have a product. I propose we sell nothing and charge a premium for the convenience.
Founders (as opposed to “Prolific engineer who designed much of the tech used in the product in the earliest days”) are considered to be people whose vision for a product or technology guided and shaped the purpose of it.
I’m not sure, I could be wrong, but it seems like as soon as your tech product vision goes from “how can we sustainably achieve (idea)?” to “how can we extract all of the wealth from (idea)?” then you become a villain and your product becomes shit.
Providing accurate information isn’t the product. Radically transforming society by deploying the latest neo-tech in all aspects of life is the product, and is what the market rewards.
Thinking about having multiple (more than 2) parents… & what if we all had lush connective relationship with multiple adults growing up? Been imaging the family I wish I had growing up and it’s a beautiful vision of a least 4 queer trans adults that love each other and raise a cutie together ✨
Yes, I definitely think this is something like "the audience isn't the product, and the article isn't the product, the advertising is the product, and we need words around the ads"
it's a ponzi scheme orchestrated by venture capital. pump money into a product (tech, media, whatever) to reach scale (that whole 'up and to the right' vibe) and then cash out when it's high while the people building the product plummet to the ground.
See the problem is this all takes art and creativity and the CEOs don’t give a shit about the product we produce, just Number Go Up. It’s exhausting, none of these producers have any creative vision or understanding that Storytelling is as important to humanity as food and sleep.
