I think the biggest issue is the distribution of that prosperity. The top 1% owns half of the wealth. Capital begets capital, even passively. So the 99% of us are trying to build stability on survival money. There’s no cash to spare.
Many reasons. Two of top of my head:
1) drive division in the US to force us to stop supporting Israel because they know the US is holding Bibi in check (as much as possible)
2) drive division in Israel because they don’t believe in getting to a negotiated outcome.

I wish but I think the US is stuck in a vicious cycle where the Northeast wield control of the federal government as a whole for the gains of capital wealth. They know the US is too powerful of a machine for them to give up. This happens every time balkanization is attempted. The gains are absorbed.
