The German MoD just confirmed the delivery of the fourth IRIS-T SLM system. Interestingly, according to the Ministry of Defence, IRIS-T SLS launcher(s) were also delivered as part of the system. This would be at least the third, maybe the fourth SLS launcher which gets delivered to #Ukraine.

According to SPIEGEL, Germany handed over the fourth IRIS-T SLM air defence system to #Ukraine today. The air defence system was originally announced for April, while the delivery was later postponed to May. Eight more have been announced for the future.

Only on Monday did the German government publicise the delivery of an unknown number of IRIS-T SL missiles to Ukraine to supply the systems already delivered. Another IRIS-T SLM system was also to be delivered to Ukraine at the end of April (delivery not yet confirmed).

So far, Germany has delivered 3 IRIS-T SLM air defence systems to Ukraine, with an additional 2 IRIS-T SLS launchers which got integrated into the SLM batteries.
However, at least Canada's funds are already firmly earmarked for the procurement of IRIS-T (SL) missiles which will be delivered to Ukraine in the following weeks.

The German government has just confirmed the delivery of one of the two Skynex air defence systems to Ukraine!
Besides that — in terms of air defence — the delivery of >= 120 IRIS-T (SL) missiles, two TRML-4D air surveillance radars & 30 drone detection sensors was confirmed!
The only other contribution to the German initiative — Canada with ~€52 million — will be used to purchase IRIS-T (SL) missiles, I therefore don't think that more money will be required. So Germany will donate a battery to Ukraine and sell another one to Ukraine with Belgian-Danish-Dutch funds.

In contrast to the IRIS-T SLM system, which uses IRIS-T SL surface-to-air missiles, the IRIS-T SLS launchers use regular IRIS-T air-to-air missiles. They are less powerful and cheaper compared to the SL version, which makes them more suitable for specific threads like drones.

Apparently, there are far more commitments to the German air defence initiative (IAAD) than we previously knew. According to Germany's Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock, countries have made financial pledges totalling ~ €1 billion.
