Where are the demonstrations? Where’s the anger? Where’s the pressure on our governments? Is a Palestinian child worth more than a Ukrainian, to paraphrase slogans I’ve seen and heard? How many thousands deaths is too many?
As much as I understand the indignation for the way #Palestinians are massacred, I wish the same people would think about the war crimes #Russia commits daily in #Ukraine, targeting civilians and vital infrastructures. We’ve let them run out of ammunition while providing protection to #Israel.

Watching #DoctorWho #SpaceBabies cold turkey, eg I haven’t watched the specials a second time. Love the intro. Perfect CGI. I get #Alien vibes at some point, which I liked. Can’t start a review without mentioning the amazing job by the actors: the way they inhabit their roles, their chemistry. 🧵
I’m in the process of watching good old classics from the 70-80´s and can’t help but feel like there’s something missing nowadays. There are exceptions, hopefully, but I feel money is mostly spent on special effects blockbusters and very little on a good story.
To my followers, feel free to engage. We may not know each other but we still can start a conversation, respectful of each other’s opinions.
Time flies. More so as we age. It may feel as a scary lack of control. The best way I found to combat this feeling of helplessness, is to press pause. Every now and then take a moment to appreciate what is going on through all our senses and breath.
I first read the book, bought in #Amsterdam while I was journeying there. A page-turning atmospheric mystery drama. Loved it!
The TV version adds to the visuals. It’s straight out of a #Rembrandt painting. It may not be as convincing as the book but worth watching.
